Jun. 5th, 2004 05:35 pmJust to let you know the EMQ's weren't impossibly hard - they were fair. (I just hadn't revised some topics thoroughly enough, but think I've just about scammed my way through it).
Had a great day out with Jyoti - lunch in H'smith spoons, trek to High St Ken (where the Paul Van Dyk and Misteeq albums were purchased for £6 in total - don't laugh!) and off to the Union to watch Henman play. Union was full so we crashed Beit West Common Room, and watched it there, with some stressed Biochemistry boiz.
Then headed off to Kom and Brem's where we got ready, had dinner, downed our vodka shots and set off. Holland Park is lush in the afternoon :) First we hit Revolution; which was packed with a funky crowd. However, the bar was boiling hot due to air conditioning problems, and we ended up at the Slug on Wardour St. Slug on Wardour St = home of FIT Punjabi Hrithik Roshan lookalike waiter with Canadian accent. Had a laugh trying to get Brem to chat him up - turned out he had a gf, so he couldn't take our Freshie out for a drink later in the week :(
Moved on to Sound Bar - which was shit (cheesy music/badly mixed commercial hip hop; lots of townies/rude boys and expensive drinks. After 15 units, I still couldn't find any guy at the club *remotely* attractive), if it weren't for the exceptional company - Risheka, Kom, Brem, Krupa, Kevil and Amith..heh; the highlight of the night was leaving the club, briefly entering and leaving the Haagen Dagz cafe after deciding we wouldn't eat there on seating ourselves, and crashing into the fountain waves near Piccadilly Circus. Leicester Square at night is lush - pity about the shit clubs in the vicinity!
More exceptional company today in the form of Mr and Mrs Darcy, aka
gaspodog and
exedra who were kind enough to treat this little lady to a damn fine Lloyds lunch :D Chocolate fondue - that's the way to a girl's heart!
